WILLIAMSPORT — This is an official press release from the U.S. Department of Justice (USAO - Pennsylvania, Middle), published as received.

WILLIAMSPORT - The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Morris W. Reese, 65, and Michael H. Woomer, 67, both of Tyrone, Pennsylvania, were indicted by a federal grand jury on a four-count indictment charging conspiracy to produce and production of child sexual abuse material.

According to United States Attorney Brian D. Miller, the indictment alleges that Reese and Woomer conspired with others to produce child pornography from November 2024 to November of 2025. The indictment alleges that Reese produced child pornography with two minor victims and Woomer produced child pornography with one minor victim.

The FBI Philadelphia’s Capital Area Resident Agency, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Centre County District Attorney’s Office investigated the matter. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin is prosecuting the case.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys' Offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit Justice.gov/PSC.

The maximum penalty under federal law is up to thirty years of imprisonment, a term of supervised release following imprisonment, and a fine. A sentence following the finding of guilt is imposed by the Judge after consideration of the applicable federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

Indictments are only allegations. All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
